What is a 'mandat de recherche'?

A mandat de recherche is a search mandate, which can be either exclusive or non-exclusive, and gives us the right as an agent to find you the perfect property on the French Riviera. Signing this document does not oblige you to a purchase, but if you choose to buy one of the properties introduced to you by us we will get a share of the agency commission, even if the property is not in our own portfolio. There are no hidden costs to you as the agency commission is already included in the price you see. A search mandate allows us to approach other local agencies - or even private sellers - and tell them we have a client for their property, and we will liaise with them on your behalf and coordinate all visits. This means that rather than you having to contact several different agencies on the ground and try to book a day of visits to all the properties you're interested in, you can instead have one person on the ground doing all the work for you - from coordinating visits to actual price negotiations, arranging surveys or architects, and being your point of contact throughout the whole buying process.
